Hotbed Hotel by Michael Parker
Synopsis:
Terri and Brian Cody are hoping to sell their “One Star Hotel” in the Florida Keys, to the only man who has expressed any interest in buying it, a Mr. Sam Lewis from New York. In order to bolster Mr. Lewis's interest, Terri and Brian devise a plan to make the hotel appear busier and more prosperous than it actually is. Their staff will masquerade as paying guests, thereby, giving Mr. Lewis the impression that the hotel is overflowing with loyal customers and vacationers. But their plan has one hitch, as their entire staff consists of a maintenance man named Hopkins and a sexy housemaid named Maureen.

"Rumors”, by Neil Simon, is a madcap, slamming door farce set in a large home located just outside of New York in the year 1988. The characters are arriving as guests at a 10th Anniversary dinner. The
first couple to arrive discovers that one of their hosts (Charley) has apparently attempted suicide ... unsuccessfully. Charley’s wife, Myra, is nowhere to be found and neither are the servants. Through the course of the show, the audience never meets Charley or Myra. As more guests arrive, there are cover-ups, deceptions, mistaken identities, and a lot of huge laughs.

Who are we?
The troupe is a non-profit volunteer run Theatre company in St Albert, Alberta. It came into being from the experiences of the four founders – Danielle Pearce, Shirley Williams, Mark McGarrigle, and David Haas – staging Self Help by Norm Foster in February 2011.
After recuperating for a few months, discussions began about future initiatives the four would like to see for mounting further theatrical productions and training in the St. Albert area. Finally the four decided to get together and stage "Opening Night" by Norm Foster; a behind the scenes look at how characters react under stress on opening night of a play."Opening Night" was a success and followed in April 2012 with another Norm Foster Play called "Bedtime Stories" by Norm Foster; six intertwining vignettes examining the lives of many crazy characters . That closed out our 2011/2012 season.
Summer saw a change of guard on our board. We welcome Trevor Lawless and Kate Elliott to the board alongside Mark McGarrigle. Our 2012/13 Season is a great one, starting with "The Nuns Trail" by David Barrett in October. Valentines day 2013 sees the presentation of "Wife begins at Forty' by Cooney ,Sultan and Earl Barret; a cute story of a couple that are re-evaluating everything in their life, including their marriage.

Christine Jarvis
We are very sad to announce we lost one of our own. Christine was killed in a motorcycle accident on July 7th. Christine joined our Theatre Troupe willing to do what ever was needed, but she really wanted to try acting. She was going to audition for the next production.
All of our "Bedtime Stories" customers were greeted with a great big smile and made to feel at home by Christine while walking them to their tables. The ultimate professional.
When we needed someone to run lights for the entire show...so she jumped in with both feet. She had never done it before and she practiced until it was perfect. Our best tech performance to date!!
Christine was a gift to our Theatre Troupe, Thank you!
We will miss you Christine. R.I.P.
